Working principle of mini electrostatic separator
The high-voltage electrostatic separator achieves separation by utilizing the differences in electrical properties of materials within a high-voltage electric field. When materials are transported through a rotating drum into the high-voltage electric field acted upon by the corona electrode, they are subjected to various forces such as electric force, centrifugal force, and gravity. Due to the different electrical properties of various materials and the varying force states, the trajectories of the materials when falling differ, thereby separating metal and non-metal mixtures.
Features of mini electrostatic separator
1. The high-voltage electrostatic separator is primarily suitable for the separation and sorting of various dry mixtures of metals and non-metals.
2. The high-voltage electrostatic separator can only separate materials with very small particle sizes and is not suitable for separating large-particle materials. Materials must be crushed before separation, and the diameter of materials that can be separated by the high-voltage electrostatic separator ranges from 0.04 to 1mm.
3. The advantage of electrostatic separation equipment is that it does not require chemicals to dissolve waste, thus avoiding environmental pollution. It can separate over 99% of metals such as gold, copper, and aluminum from plastics in waste.
